Amadea H. Ris is an interdisciplinary artist whose work bridges painting, video, performance, and experimental media. Rooted in archetypal, mythic, and intuitive realms, her practice invites deep presence, reflection, and transformation. Born in 1994 in Slovenia, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana, and a master’s degree in Painting: Video, Animation, and New Media from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana.

Her diploma work focused on the creation of a unique tarot deck using the intuitive technique of klecksography. Through these symbolic images, she explored archetypes and the subconscious, laying the foundation for what would become The Isness Tarot. In her master’s thesis, Story as Medicine: Dark Witch, White Shaman, she expanded this exploration into an autobiographical experimental film that weaves together personal healing, mythology, and spiritual transformation. The film premiered at the Prvi Kadar film festival in Sarajevo and was later screened at Kinoteka Ljubljana during both the V-F-X and FEKK festivals.

Amadea’s work has been exhibited in solo and group shows, and she regularly facilitates creative workshops that center around intuitive expression and collective insight. She is also engaged in social change through art. Her participation in UNICEF’s Hidden Escape Room campaign helped raise national awareness of sexual abuse of children, while her feature in RTV Slovenia’s Free Spirits documentary series (2021) shared her personal and artistic journey with a broader audience.
